The 3rd Annual Macau Business Charity Golf Tournament & Gala Dinner, an exclusive fund raising golf outing, is tentatively scheduled to take place on Friday October 16th at the Macau Golf and Country Club.

A total of 21 teams enrolled in last year’s tournament, a significant step from 11 teams in the event’s inception edition in 2007. Organisers are viewing this year’s event as  crucial given the current grim economic outlook where the less fortunate in the community are suffering the most with the global financial turmoil.

Employing a specific concept, especially designed for the local business community, the annual golf outing was able to gather support from all quadrants and reach its first 1 million landmark. Nonetheless the event experienced double growth in only its first two editions. The 2007 event gathered 11 playing teams from responsible corporate citizens and a hundred guests in the Gala Dinner where as in 2008 the charitable outing saw the participation of 21 tournament teams and 200 guests.

The objective was simple: give something back to the community by helping those who where left behind in the earlier economic boom and now suffer with the global economic crisis. The plan, to offer something different to patrons: a corporate incentive combined with a strong business network opportunity to meet up with partners and clients away for office surroundings, all wrapped in an exclusive experience where their presence alone is synonymous with caring for the less fortunate.
